Exciting news - new Design Team

OK so I couldn't stay dropping my Design Team commitments down for too long.  Probably because I love the opportunity to try new things and share with different people.  When I did step down from a few teams last year I was thinking of trying out for the Spellbinders team.  But seeing I wanted to drop back from my commitments I didn't.

When the opportunity came up to try out for the Design Team for the exclusive Distributor of Spellbinders in Australia came up I thought... I thought YEP I would love to try something different now (6 months later).  They also distribute 'Just Rite Stamps' (which tie in really well with the various Spellbinders designs), Bazzill (I have ALWAYS loved my Bazzill products) and 'Bling-abilities' (again they tie in really well with the various Spellbinders designs without leaving that ugly glue mark others do - oh and higher faceted rhinestones for extra bling!!) to name a few.

After a two round selection process, I had a wonderful call from the Owner Deb Monk informing me that she loved my work and that I had made the team.  Well you would not understand how excited I was.  On top of making the team we also received a Grand Calibur machine and a HUGE pack including Spellbinders dies, and the other branded products above.  So much yummy stuff to get playing with and I just can't wait!!!  Check out the link in the picture below for the official announcement.
I am really excited to be part of this AWESOME team and see where the input of some different products takes my style.

My first posts will go up in July... so stay tuned!  In the mean time check out the blog here for SO MUCH inspiration from the girls that have already been on the team.

June Kraft it up Challenge

So nice to have found a chance to do a challenge!  This time it is Kraft it up blog challenge.
This is the challenge for this month:

When I saw this I just fell in love with the idea of it, and so here is my take on the challenge!
Love the dimension my Helmar Liquid Scrap dots gave here.
AND here on my THREE different font, three or more word title!

Also used some Helmar Fabric Stiffener and draping liquid on the corner of the tag to keep the curl in the corner of the material tag (off some Country Road clothing) nice and strong
The bunting flags were adhered using some Helmar Liquid scrap dots and the twine with some Helmar 450 Quick Dry.
Love all the dimension in the layers...
Here you can see the masked background nice and clear.... love it edging onto the photos... think this will be a new trend for me ;)

The paper range I used on this one was Echo Park's 'A boys life' - love LOVE LOVE LOVE this range... well I love a heap of their ranges :)  The black and white twine I got from the store 'Typo'.  I also used Tim Holtz 'Faded Jeans' distress ink, white gesso, Tattered Angels Cornflower Dase Chalkboard, Spellbinders Peony Nestabilities (masked), The Crafter's Workshop Chickenwire reversed 12x12 and some yellow pastel to create the background

I have also used Bazzill Kraft cardstock for the background and Bazzill Blackbird for the matting

Hope you have enjoyed my take on the Kraft it Up challenge and I have inspired you to give it a go also!  Head on over to the blog and check out all the other entries!

Bye for now for me... but stay tuned.... got exciting news to share and some more work that I have been busy creating!
