Twiddleybitz Bird Cage

Ok, here is the last of the work I have done recently for the Twiddleybitz DT assignment. It was using the new birdcages which are just SO cute!! I wanted to give it a bit of a vintage feel in creating this one, and therefore embossed it to give it an aged metal look. This was a really fun project, and truly something different!

I was busy over the weekend doing some other creating so stay tuned for some new pics soon to be uploaded!

Have a nice day! xxxx

Another sneak peak!

Today's post is of the Twiddleybitz Shadow box that I did as part of this recent assignment. I loved incorporating the the 'Home Sweet Home' pack which included the house tree, wording and embellishments into this project. I can't wait to get it back and hang in proudly at home!

I have incorporated some different products on this one including some beautiful Crystals in the hanging owl charm. This one is a must to check out in real life as it is hard to show it all in the photos. So you will have to get yourself down to the craft show in Perth and future shows around the country to see this one! But for the full pic of this project, go to the Twiddleybitz DT blog.

Have a great day, and tomorrow I will post the last of the Twiddleybitz assignment!

Published - Family Canvas

I was SO excited a few weeks ago when I got my latest issue of Scrapbooking Memories to see my work in print. I did this project for Tomorrow's memories and was my first Design Team piece that I had the pleasure of teaching prior to leaving Perth last year. I really enjoyed creating this project and then teaching it to some lovely ladies. I was so thrilled then with everyone wanting to do the class (it was booked out) and now to see it is print is a great feeling.

My family has tried so hard over the years to get a great family photo and when you least expect it one is taken. This photo was taken of us all on the dancefloor at my cousin's wedding. We all just grouped quickly to take the photo... and well it is the best family photo we have ever taken!

The motto of the story... don't try too hard to take the perfect family photo, just take many at different times, and you never know your 'perfect' pic is probably closer than you think!

Anyway, here is some pictures of the canvas in the magazine. It is in the current issue of Scrapbooking Memories.

New work for Tomorrow's Memories

I have really enjoyed getting back into my scrapbooking and have some new work to share. These were done for Tomorrow's Memories in Perth and should be arriving there tomorrow.

This first one was done using some really cute cute paper by Sassafras Lass. It just went so well with these photos of my little boy playing with his gym and mobile. I must thank Debbie for the idea of doing a different shaped layout and supplying me with the paper I used as a template to create the shape. Thanks Deb!

This next layout and the cards below were made using some Basic Grey 'Wisteria' paper and stickers.

Hoping to share some other new work later this week. Keep well!!

Thank you cards

Well I am starting to find more time for my scrapbooking and actually going to a 12 hour scrap on Saturday... not sure how long I will last being away from my little boy.

My little man was absolutely spoilt by SO many people, and therefore I really wanted to make the effort of making the thank you cards. I have not sent them yet, still got to address them all and get them in the mail! But I thought I would share them anyway!

I had 50 of these to make and got them done in not much time surprisingly! Thanks everyone for your lovely welcome wishes for my little man!

Twiddleybitz challenge - 'So Cute'

Well, as promised I have completed my take on the current Twiddleybitz challenge. I really enjoyed incorporating Tracey's challenge into a layout I wanted to do of my little man. This is the first layout I have done of Austin! The Twiddleybitz arrow I used is really good for boy layouts, and I will be using a heap of these in future I think.

Rather than incorporating my material and stitching together I decided do the stitching by hand on the paper and incorporate a piece of material that I have coloured using ink rubbed on it under the star. The piece I have used for the journaling was a page out of the Twiddleybitz mini star album. One of these albums can go a long way as a journaling tag...
