April and May are busy times here...

Well it has been a very busy couple of months with 8 birthdays spanning over 6 weeks, two of which were my husband and son's!  That, along with a number of scrapping deadlines (now complete), has left me little free time.
I have been busy creating though (most of which I can't share yet), predominately with party decorations for my son's third birthday.
Here are some pictures from the special day

I will have an upcoming post on the Helmar blog to detail how I created all the decorations for his party as my Helmar definitely got a real work out!  The only think I didn't create with regard to the decorations are the balloons.  Even the cake (which was a train made from cardstock and patterned paper) got a Helmar workout!

Also earlier this month I attended the Mother's Day Crop for a cause with my mum.  It was great to have a day together scrapping away.  The theme of the day was 'pink' and this is a special photo of my mum and me captured on the day

I also made some canvas' for my mum as part of her Mother's Day present.

Now that I have teased you.... you will have to pop back over the next few weeks for more posts :)

This is my FAVOURITE part of being part of a blog hop, announcing the winner of my giveaway!

But before I do (got to keep a minute of suspense happening) I just wanted to take the time to say that I visited everyone of the blogs of the ladies that left a comment.  I was astounded by the amount of talent out there that I had not seen before.  It was amazing!  I don't get anywhere as much time as I would like to check out blogs, so thanks to everyone that took part in the fun of this hop leaving comments and enjoying everyone's share.  A hop would be nothing without those taking part in the posts OR those that hop their way through.

I know I had a problem with my 'follower's button not being there (not sure where it really went to, as it was on there previously??), but I have re-added it so those that wanted to follow can, and those that may wish to on a future visit can too.

Again, thanks for leaving a comment on my post.  I used number generator to obtain my winner

The Scrap Kitchen National Scrapbooking Day Blog hop

Welcome to my stop on the blog hop! I am sure you enjoyed having a look at the very talented Steph Devlin's Blog.  So much yummy work on there it is pretty hard to follow, but I hope you enjoy my little share as part of the hop.

You have a chance to win one or more of 50 prizes from 50 different blogs!!!
The EASIEST BLOG HOP EVER! All you need to do to win a prize is to leave a comment under this post.  I would also love it if you would become a follower of my blog too, but it isn't a requirement.

On Sunday May 6th I will choose someone randomly for a prize of a large postage envelope filled with Chippy, flowers, and various embellishments.

The winners details will be posted on here so make sure you check back to see if you have won.  While you are here you can check out my latest post for the Helmar Design Team as that will go live then as well.

In the meantime, here is a little share from me.  These are some projects I have previously done for Australian Scrapbook Ideas (Issue 11) that can now be posted on my blog.  The issue includes full instructions for creating each of the 4 layouts as well as an article I wrote on the use of adheasives.

You can order the magazine subscriptions on line here.

Although shared in the Scrap Kitchen, I have not yet shared this one on my blog.  It has been a work in progress for about a year now, as I was never completely happy with it.  Now it is finished and sits proudly in our lounge room.

The base was created from a plain white painted lamp base purchased from Target, covered with paper and then coated with Helmar Step 1 and 2 crackle.  The top was a separate shade also purchased from Target.  I simply removed the material and the creating begun including colouring the wire frame of the shade with alcohol ink, adding the wire, paper, photo and flowers.

For more chances to win, continue on the hop's next stop at:
Melita Chow's lovely blog to leave some more blog love.

If you would like to go back to the start of the hop and have a look at all the blogs, head on over to Sherry Mendoza's blog for the start and complete list.

We would also love for you to come and join us in The Scrap Kitchen on Facebook and will also be posting winners names on there!
