Ok so truth has it I am sticking to my plans for 2012 and taking time to enjoy it and create memories. The weather had been quite beautiful up until the last month and is now getting a little more unpredictable. So that means I am starting to get some new scrapping done. I have just finished a new commission for Australian Scrapbook Ideas which will feature 4 new layouts and and article I can't share yet. However, I do have some that are due to be able to be posted on my blog, so stay tuned for some new posts coming up!
Given the reduction in my design teams it has allowed me some time to create with no deadline, structure, parameters or specific product. SO I created these two layouts last week. One is a bit of a part two to my Helmar Sketch challenge (soon to go live) and the second is one that is done with some new papers I purchased and was dying to play with.
Well I hope you enjoyed me taking the time to share some of my recent work as well as my exciting new business news. Promise to get posting more often including some overdue magazine shares as well as more about the business as it develops.
This first one I made using one of my favourite ranges that I keep going back to because I just LOVE the paper! It is by Echo Park and is called 'Little boy' it was one of their 2010 releases, so a little old, but you may be lucky to get your hands on it somewhere!
This layout is of photos that were taken on one of our recent weekends away.
This second layout I created using the new BoBunny 'On the Go' range. I can't say it is one of my favourite layouts or the best photos, but I captured what is important on this one, to the point that Austin liked when he saw it and said 'slipped over' and when I asked what he was doing in the photos he said 'jumping in muddy puddles' this was nearly 3 months ago, so I am happy he remembers and although he couldn't read the journalling, I know he will be able to when he is older!
Here is a detail of the mud I created by mixing some impasto and dark brown paint. I just LOVE the texture in it! I created each of the circles and splotches on my craft sheet and then transpose them onto my layout with a little Helmar 450 Quick Dry
