New photos of Austin

Photography by Brooke Chalmers
I thought I would share some new photos of my little man. He is growing fast and learning new things all the time.
A month ago one of my lovely friends took some pictures of Austin. She took some really cute photos of him just over one of our friend's houses. I was amazed how easily she took these pic's of him.

If anyone would like some photos taken by Brooke, you can contact her on brooke.r.chalmers@gmail.com she does photography of children in your own home, where they are happy and relaxed in their own environment and no need to travel for the shoot!

I will be using these pics in some upcoming projects and Can't wait!! Hope you have a great day....

Keeping track of the little things

Today I wanted to share something that I have been doing since my little boy arrived.

When he came into the world I was understandably very busy and not the best at writing down his little day to day milestones. BUT, I did often update my status on Facebook. I have continued to do this to keep track of them all. I have also copy and pasted my wall into a document so that I can print it out and have it for when I catch up scrapbooking these things... I also take photos when I get a chance of and use the date to match them up...

For me it is my easiest way of journaling prior to making up the layouts/album. I have also had a heap of friends and family say that they love hearing what he has been up to...

I just wanted to share it so that someone else my benefit from this idea.

Have a great weekend.... and I will post some new work REAL SOON!!

A-U-S-T-I-N Letters

When I decorated my son's room I didn't know if I was having boy or girl, so was not sure of my baby's name. Therefore I had left one of the walls to be finished once he arrived. So last week I finally got a chance to finish making the letters for his name and put them up in his room. I tried to make the colours and design to be in keeping with the theme of his room. You can check out the pics of his room at the following links. http://justmebingme.blogspot.com/2009/04/safari.html and http://justmebingme.blogspot.com/2009/04/finally-nursery-decorating-is-finished.html
Although it doesn't look like it they are straight. Each of the letters are about 4 inches tall and made from MDF, so they stand out quite a bit on the wall.
