A Tiger in my garden
This layout of my Cat Smokey had been created using products from Kaisercraft and Collections in the main. I really enjoyed getting a bit lumpy bumpy with this one. I used paper tole silicone to support the branches and flowers' dimension. There was a lot of work in this one, but I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of making it!
Some new cards
Sorry I have not posted for a week, I have been really busy this week (mainly scrapping)and I have had camera issues. After it getting a bit wet from taking a quick dump in the water on a recent boating trip, it seems to be short circuiting and only turning on when it feels like it.
Anyway, I have given up on it bit and have been taking most photos with my mobile phone (luck it has a 5mg pixel camera in it)...
Well here are some of the cards I have been busy creating over the last week or so.
This Mothers Day card was made for my mum. I created this knowing she loves the antique looking stuff.
This was a mothers Day card I did for my mother in-law. I love these little owls and I will be looking to make more as fridge magnets for home!
This card is my entry for the May Card competition. I have tried to do a trapeze card after my mother in-law brought over a stencil on her recent visit to perth, for me to have a look at. I didn't have a pattern to follow (which is how you would usually do them -like a knitting pattern i guess)but made up my own. I love the effect of the piece in the middle hanging there by only threads.
This card was made for Tommorw's Memories 4th Birthday. The girls have been so generous this month especially, with prizes, specials, 'make and takes' and give aways, oh and FOOD! (love the cupcakes!).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Tomorrow's Memories!!
This card was made for my brother who turned 29 this month.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Owen!!

New toys!
After experiencing some technical difficulties after the latest Vista update, we decided that our rather old Laptop needed replacing... When we went to get it, as part of the bargaining process (making up a package of stuff that we could also get a discount on) I saw Photoshop Elements 6, and seeing that I wanted to work on my photography I thought.... what a better way to start! I am hoping that this will help me to produce some better photos for future layouts.
I have not yet had a chance to play with it much as i have been flat out with my work, but I thought I would share a pic of my new toys!

Make a wish
I just love these photos of my niece Isobel and I on our birthdays (which are 12 days apart) back in 2003. My husband did a fantastic job at capturing a memorable moment. My neice is now living in China so moments like this do not come along as often.
I entered this in Scraptivate's monthly challenge, and won a $25 gift voucher YAY more money to spend on new stuff!!
I have used a heap of different products to create this layout including:
- Rub-on's by BoBunny, Scrapbook King, Basic Grey, American Crafts (mini marks), and Crate paper.
- Carl punched out flowers (in shrink plastic and paper)
- Heidi Swapp - ghost mini (butterflys and flowers)
- Collections - Butterfly and lettering
- Bella Chips - Large Letters
- Paper by Basil (Java), Cosmo Cricket (Candy Girl & Sweet Nothings) and Pop Culture (Flower Child Socialite)
- Stamps by See d's - Dottie Flowers
- Kaisercraft - rhinestones and pearls
- Pearl Ex

New Layout - Smokey
This layout is of my cat Smokey.
I came up with the idea for this layout while I was driving home one day. I quickly sketched it down while I was stuck at the lights on a piece of scrap paper. I now have a little book I keep in my handbag for this very reason. You never know when ideas are going to come to you. This was not a very time consuming layout but I love it just the same!

Recent Cards
These are some of the cards I have given over the last 6 months. My favourite tool to use with my cards is my personalised stamp (for the back of my cards) I had made while I was in China visiting my brother and his family.
These are some of the Christmas Cards I gave at Christmas time last year. It was a challenge doing different designs for everyone, but thoroughly enjoyable!
This card was given to my husband Andrew on his birthday in April
This card was given to my nephew Thomas on his 3rd birthday in April.
This card was given to Jaden on his first birthday in February.
This card was given to my Cousin on the birth of their new baby girl Charlotte Jaye.
This card and canvas were given to my Mum and Dad on their 40th Wedding Anniversary in December 2007
I gave this card to our friends Tony and Amelia when they moved into their new home late last year
Off the page
These Christmas decorations were made using Kaisercraft Off the page wooden products. I just love these products, they are quick and easy to decorate and come in so many different designs.
This floating frame was done in a class I attended with my friend Amelia. It is created using beautiful products from Collections - Elements, one of my favourite products

My first 12x12 page
This is the layout I started in the beginners Scrapbooking class I attended with my friend Amelia. It is the first layout I did. I didn't finish it in the class but enjoyed my start to scrapbooking. I was glad my frend asked me to do it with her, because it was just enjoyable spending some time together.
Mini Album
This mini album was created for my parents. It was my first real scrapbooking project! It was really hard to give it away, but I know it is in good hands as my mum has kept every card I have made for her so far.

The beginning..
Ok here goes... my first blog entry!
I am sure that there is a bit to figure out with with this blogging stuff, but I am always up to try new things! Coming up with the title was my first hurdle, and well I guess it says it all, I'm putting myself out there. I do hope to post regularly, when not too busy with my work, oh and when I have something to say...
Well firstly a bit about me and my scrapping...
I was originally a card-making then over to the dark (or should that say bright) world of scrapbooking -after wanting to for years. My first achievement was a mini album I did for my mum and Dad of my wedding, and having done that I did a beginners class with a friend to learn about the world of 12" x 12" scrapping which to a card maker can be quite daunting as it is so much larger a space. I completed my first 12 x 12 page from this class, and have not looked back since!
Although I love making and giving my cards, I am absolutely loving scrapbooking as I am finally doing some stuff to keep and put up at home.
